WARNING

Always the jokester, former Ledger publisher Louis Sossamon placed a sign in his tomato patch to keep his friends and neighbors from helping themselves to his prized produce. The sign reads: "BE CAREFUL 'Pickin' - Two plants sprayed with poison!" The other signs informs tomato lovers that picking rights are available on a 'CASH ONLY' basis. Sossamon and his wife, Kathryn, now live in West Columbia at Still Hopes, an Episcopal retirement center.
