Dunton UMC plans annual Mad Hatters Tea

The United Methodist Women of Dunton United Methodist Church will host their annual Mad Hatters Tea on Saturday, July 19. All women and men are invited to enjoy a cup of tea from 3-5 p.m.

The only requirement to attend is that one wear a favorite hat.

"Don't rush out and buy a hat. Be creative!" said Cassandra Roberts, UMW president at Dunton. "Use your imagination and design an original."

According to Roberts, the tea is held each year to show and display the many hats that Christians wear each day.

Richard Richardson of Fruit of the Spirit Ministries will be the guest speaker. A freewill offering will be taken.

"Everyone is invited to join us for this festive event," Roberts said.

Refreshments will be served and prizes awarded.
