The Gaffney Police Department is investigating a July 5 incident during which a motel room commode was apparently blown up with fireworks. Sen. Peeler defends magistrate 'holdover' status provision
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - An investigation by a South Carolina newspaper shows that a third of the state's magistrates are employed in a status that gives state senators the ability to fire them.
