UCMC volunteers award scholarships

Upstate Carolina Medical Center volunteers have awarded three $1,000 scholarships. Recipients are Brandi Crowe, Gena Henderson and Laci Starnes.

Crowe will attend USC, where she will major in journalism; Henderson is a student at USC Upstate Mary Black School of Nursing, where Starnes will be attending.

All money for the scholarships come from sale in the hospital gift shop and the "cheer cart."
