Joann McKinney Harrison, 71, of 891 Bonner Lake Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the Rev. Charles A. Harrison and daughter of the late Charles Edward McKinney and Leitha Bright McKinney. Mrs. Harrison was executive director of PeachCenter Ministries and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Harrison and wife, Donna, and Danny Harrison, both of Gaffney; two daughters, Tammie McGee of Gaffney and Norma Jean Gallman of Cowpens; a sister, Virginia Boone of Bessemer City, N.C.; six grandchildren, Travis McGee, Chucky Harrison, Danielle Reynolds, Kristy Young, Brannon Harrison and Clayton Harrison; and eight great-grandchildren, Baker Harrison, Chandlar Harrison, Brooklyn Harrison, Madison Shaer, Daniel Harrison, Zachery Greene, Olivia Young and Lauren Harrison.

Services will be held Thursday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
