The Golden King
Exhibition of treasures from tombs of King Tut and the great pharaohs opens this fall in Atlanta
      A new exhibition featuring more than 130 treasures from the tomb of the celebrated pharaoh King Tut and additional ancient sites will begin a United States tour this fall. "Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs" will premiere November 15 at the Atlanta Civic Center, presented by the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Emory University.

Red Cross invites volunteers to come to 'pot luck' lunch
      The American Red Cross is inviting its volunteers to a "pot luck" lunch on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Those participating will meet at the Red Cross office at 405 N. Logan St. to discuss events and training for disaster services in the county.
