Members of the South Carolina Highway Patrol tend to Faleecia Packerson of Greenwood after her vehicle was forced off I-85 by a tractor-trailer. Packerson was not seriously injured. A Greenwood woman survived a scary accident Wednesday on Interstate 85.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Faleecia Packerson, 30, of 107 Canyon Drive, was driving north on the interstate when a tractor-trailer forced her 2005 Dodge Stratus off the road and into the median.

"The driver of the tractortrailer did not change lanes properly," said Lance Cpl. Jeff Gaskin of the S.C. Highway Patrol. "When she tried to avoid him, her car unfortunately ended up in the median."

When emergency personnel arrived, Packerson's vehicle was found tangled between median cables. The woman was not seriously injured.

The driver of the tractortrailer did not stop, police said.

"We don't have any leads or anything, so this particular accident is no longer under investigation," Gaskin said.

Packerson is believed to have been wearing a seat belt.
