Mildred Martin Butler Mildred Martin Butler will cross the 80th lifeline on July 26, 2008.

Her journey in life began in Gaffney, where she was welcomed by her parents, M. Clarence and Annie Whiteside Martin. She graduated from Gaffney High School in 1946. On Nov. 16, 1946, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she married her best friend, Ralph S. Butler. They traveled to the Salt Lake Temple, where the marriage was sealed on Nov. 22, 1946.

Mrs. Butler traveled with her husband as he completed a career in the U.S. Air Force, finally settling in Layton, Utah, where they still reside. They have six children, 15 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren (one of whom is deceased) and two more on the way.

Mrs. Butler says that family, friends and church activities take and make life's joys and happiness a wonderful time.
