Gaffney Little Theatre invites you to get on board

Dear Friends and Supporters of the Arts:

Gaffney Little Theatre is moving ahead this summer. We were forced by Mother Nature to make some major repairs to the roof of the Brown Building and that is now almost complete.

A kind benefactor decided to replace the ceiling in the auditorium of the present Little Theatre and to make other needed repairs. Another benefactor volunteered to paint both the lobby and the auditorium walls. Still a third kindhearted supporter purchased new lights and paid an electrician to install them.

We still have about four projects to complete before we start our new season in September. We are in the process of raising funds for these. If you, your business, your civic club, your church or any other group would like to play a part in this beautification undertaking, please notify us at P.O. Box 983, or call any member of the board of directors, or leave a message on our answering machine at (864) 489-4589.

We are also applying to the South Carolina Arts Commission for a quarterly grant of $1,500 that we can receive if we can raise the same amount as a matching fund. If you can contribute to that grant fund, it will be deeply appreciated. This grant must be in financial contributions; it cannot be in kind.

We are proud of the contribution that our group makes to the arts in Cherokee County. We have planned a wonderful season that will run from September to June, including three musicals and three regular plays. Several of them include children and youth and provide healthy family entertainment.
