Bethel Baptist Church celebrates Men's Day; holds annual conference

Reflecting the theme, "Men Focusing Upon Christ: Making a Difference," Bethel Baptist Church recently had its annual Men's Day and Men's Conference.
Speakers for the Men's Conference were Dion
Dewberry, James Bobo, Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr., Dr. J.W. Sanders Jr., and the Rev. Tracey Miller. They discussed issues related to home ownership, financial services, home foreclosure, budgeting, business ownership, and biblical financal principles.
Calvin Dowdle "Man of the Year 2007-2008" presided at the Men's Day service. Guest speaker was Sen. Kay Patterson of Richland County District No. 19. Dr. J. W. Sanders Sr., pastor, introduced Sen. Patterson.
Other participants were Dr. James W. Sanders Jr., the Rev. Lawrence Davidson, Jerry Leach, James Brown, Rodrich Wright, Terry Kilgore, Shelly Jefferies, Harold Jefferies James Carr, Alvin Smith and Maurice Hemphill.
Church School participants were Kerry Fowler Sr. Superintendent instructors were Joe Dean Knuckles, Jerry Leach, Alvin Smith, Reginald Brown, Chris Dewberry, Wilbert Littlejohn, Donnie Willis, Terry Kilgore and E.G. Logan. Music was presented by the Men's Choir and Praise Team. Ushers were the Senior Men and Young Adults.
