Doris Mauney speaker Sunday at Shady Grove Baptist Church

Doris Mauney Shady Grove Baptist Church will have its annual Mother's Day program Sunday July 27, during the 11 a.m. worship service. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Doris Mauney, associate minister at Ebenezer Baptist Church. She is under the leadership of the Rev. Freddy Davidson, pastor.

Rev. Mauney was called into the ministry in November, 1995. Her ministry has taken her on many journeys since she dedicated her life to preaching God's Word. She has ministered extensively in Cherokee, Spartanburg and Union counties.

Rev. Mauney is the daughter of the late Perry and Atharline Davidson who lived in Gaffney. She has two children, Travis Mauney of Charlotte and Chineta Mauney of Spartanburg, and two grandchildren. She has been employed by Nestlé Frozen Foods for more than 20 years.

The missionaries will be in charge of all services and will make several special presentations. Dorothy Manning is the Senior Missionary president.
