Notices

All women who played softball for Alberta Buscheva Rogers are asked to attend a meeting Saturday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m. at Mayberry Park on Hwy. 29. The agenda will be discussed when the meeting is called to order.

Class reunions

The Gaffney High School Class of 1998 is planning its 10-year reunion. Classmates are asked to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to P.O. Box 1057, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.

The Gaffney High School Class of 1978 is planning is 30-year reunion on Oct. 18 at the Gaffney Elks Lodge from 7 p.m.-12 a.m. Cost is $50 per couple or $25 for single, cash bar only. If you or someone you know graduated in 1978 and plan to attend, send contact information and a check made payable to GHS Class of 1978 to Susan Blanton Wilson, 142 Blanton Drive, Gaffney, S.C. 29340; or Karen Brown Love, 330 College Drive, Gaffney, S.C. 29340.

Those classmates who wish to attend the 40-year reunion of Granard High School Class of 1968 are asked to contact Hattie S. Smith, 864-489-1271; Brenda S. Dawkins, 864-489-3958; or Dora L. Smith, 864-487-4812.

Reunion letters for the 45-year reunion of Gaffney High School Class of 1963 are being sent out this week. Classmates who do not receive a letter are asked to contact Kaye Martin Martin, 864-583-4647, and give her your mailing address.

Church news

Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 2911 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, will have a Community Health Fair on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be blood pressure and cholesterol checks and the CVS Diabetes Care Center will be on hand. Sickle Cell Anemia screening will also be available. Various health information will be provided for the entire family. There will be games, prizes, hot dogs and refreshments.
