Ledger photo/SCOTT POWELL Ledger photo/SCOTT POWELL LIGHTNING RODS? - Lightning knocked over two giant oak trees Monday evening behind the home of McKown's Mountain resident Lewis Moss. One of the trees leveled a corn crib Moss had built in 1946 shortly after coming home from serving in the military. Severe thunderstorms have brought down six large trees from Moss' yard over the past couple of months.
