Virginia Gail Nance Robbins
COWPENS - Virginia Gail Nance Robbins, 54, of 132 Tory Trail, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Freddie Robbins and daughter of the late Robert Nance and Grace Blackwell Nance. Mrs. Robbins was an employee of Hamrick Mills and a member of Living Word Praise and Worship Holiness Church in Mayo. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a sister, Sara Ann Leigh of the home; a nephew, James Gowan and wife, Laura, of North Carolina; a great nephew, James Gowan Jr. of North Carolina; an uncle, Dean Nance and wife, Norma, of North Carolina; an aunt, Ruby Hembree and husband, Vernon, of North Carolina; mother in-law, Margie Robbins of Gaffney; and a friend forever loved as a sister, Peggy Hammett.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Robbins.
Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 14, from 1:30-2 p.m. at McKowns Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Graveside services immediately followed at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Paul Tessnear, Rosie Taylor and Dean Painter officiating.
