Former owner of McKown Custom Cabinets

CHESNEE - Paul Thomas McKown, 61, of 225 Johnson's Pointe Court, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born May 22, 1947, in Gaffney, he was the son of Nadine Sparks McKown of Gaffney and the late Paul Patrick McKown. He was former owner of McKown Custom Cabinets and was formerly employed as an EMT with Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. McKown was a member

of Mountain View

Baptist Church, a

former member of the Civitans, the National Cabinet Builders Association, and the Army National Guard.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Bunny Brown McKown; four daughters, Krissy McKown Meltzer of Mt. Pleasant, Hannah Kowalczyk of Roebuck, Kim Webb and Jenny Webb, both of Acworth, Ga.; a son, Mason Scruggs of Stratford, Conn.; Bear (his fur child); two grandsons and five granddaughters.

Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tyler Kirby. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church, Mission Teams, 5555 Parris Bridge Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29316.

The family is at the home.
