Lula Hall Cole

Homemaker

Lula Jones Hall Cole, 91, formerly of Second Avenue, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at Brookview Healthcare.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of Ernest Hall and Edward Cole and the daughter of the late Ed Jones and Ethel Willard Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Eugene (Gene) Hall and wife, Joan, of Gaffney.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Jones, Lewis Jones and Roy Jones; and three sisters, Clara Estes, Ila Whitener and Alda Horn.

Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 24, from 2-3 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services immediately followed at 3 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Alan Peeler, Bob Redmon and Vernon Craig officiating. Interment was in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Senior Center of Cherokee County, 499 W. Rutledge Ave., Gaffney, S.C. 29340

The family is at the home of Gene and Joan Hall, 103 Alice Street, Gaffney, SC.
