AIRLIFTED — A 39-year-old Gaffney man was listed in good condition Thursday afternoon at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center following a Wednesday afternoon motorcycle accident on Chandler Drive. Todd Franklin Holmes, of South View Street, was flown by helicopter to the Spartanburg hospital from a landing zone the Gaffney Fire Department set up in the parking lot adjacent to W. K. Brumbach Stadium. Hundreds of people and players assembled for a football jamboree witnessed the event, as the medical helicopter approached the landing zone almost directly above them. According to a Gaffney Police Department accident report, Holmes was driving his motorcycle east on Chandler Drive when he collided with the right side of a truck that was making a right turn into a driveway in the 200 block. Holmes was wearing a helmet, according to the report. Damage to his Kawasaki motorcycle is estimated at $2,500. - Tim Gulla AIRLIFTED — A 39-year-old Gaffney man was listed in good condition Thursday afternoon at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center following a Wednesday afternoon motorcycle accident on Chandler Drive.
