Benefit

A benefit singing for Stacy Million, who was hurt at Cherokee Speedway in July, will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, from 5-6 p.m. at White Plains Baptist Church, 206 Soap Stone Road. After the singing a Poor Man's supper will be served with donations accepted.

Fund raiser

The Senior Centers of Cherokee County, 499 W. Rutledge Ave., will hold a craft show Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Booths will be $20, with booth rental fees going to the Blacksburg Senior Center Renovation Fund. For more details and to reserve a table, call Leslie at 487-2725.

Meetings

The annual Associational Fall WMU Leadership Conference will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at Calvary Baptist Church, 292 Cherokee Ave. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with a short business session. Conferences for each age level will begin at 9:30 and conclude at 11:30. Lunch will be served at 11:30.
