Josh and Christa Smith of Gaffney announce the birth of their son, Colton David, on July 17, 2008, weighting 9 lbs. 5 ozs. in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Maternal grandparents are Larry and Jackie Irvin and paternal grandparents are Lee and Sally Smith, all of Gaffney.

Maternal great-grandparents are Marie Kirby and Aliene Irvin, both of Gaffney, the late Jack Kirby and the late Rev. Larry Irvin Sr. Paternal great-grandparents are Doris and Lawrence Bright and Gertrude Smith, all of Gaffney, the late Amon Pennington and the late Samuel J. Smith.

Proud aunts, uncles and cousins include Josh and Ashley Bradley; Brett Irvin; Kip, Kelli, and Maddie Sarratt; Brian, Angie, Arle and Braden Beattie; and BJ, Nicole, Ben and Sam Smith.
