Jeanette Garner Minnie Jeanette White Garner, 91, of 611 Marietta St., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at her residence. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of James Garner and daughter of the late Lee Redmond White and Rose Etta Harris White. She was retired from Hamrick Mills and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Marie White of the home; three nieces, Norma Knighten and Teresa Melton of Gaffney and Melissa Sheppard of Blacksburg; an adopted niece, Brenda Turner of Gaffney; a sister-in-law, Betty White of Gaffney; and special caregivers, Jackie Raduly and Stephen and Chastity Ramsey. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by four brothers, Wister White, Lawrence White, Mason White and Clyde White; and three sisters, Nannie Spencer, Otee White and Jesse Moore. Services will held Friday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. in Blakely Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Terry Pleasant and Delos Blanton officiating. Interment will be in Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. The family is at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 N.
