Miss Thomas, Mr. Wilde wed Aug. 2 on campus of Limestone College
MR. AND MRS. MATHEW JAMES WILDE April Dawn Thomas and Mathew James Wilde were married Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, on the campus of Limestone College. The ceremony was conducted by Michael Abraham of Mauldin.
The cellist and violinist, sister of the groom, and pianist, brother-inlaw of the groom, provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Donnie and Maggie Thomas of Gaffney. Her grandparents are Elizabeth Whelchel of Gaffney, the late Carl Whelchel and the late Doris and Charles Thomas. A graduate of Limestone College, she is employed as an area manager with Enterprise in Greenville.
The groom is the son of Dennis and Christine Wilde of West Babylon, N.Y. Also a graduate of Limestone College, he is employed by the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white gown designed by Oleg Cassini. The dress was embellished with custom beading and embroidery.
Lisa Humphries Hobbs of Gaffney attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Schuyla Meetze Deeder of Gaffney and Vicki Stanford of Spartanburg. They wore black satin gowns and carried white roses.
The groom was attended by Joseph Bohon of Campobello as best man. Ushers were Clint Hood, Tom Hobbs and Quinn Raedels.
The flower girl, Carson Faye Raedels, of Greenville and ring bearer, Alexander Hood, of Gaffney presented the mothers of the bride and groom white roses and special gifts as they walked down the aisle.
After a honeymoon on the Riviera Maya of Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Wilde are making their home in Spartanburg County.
