Marie M. Hadden

Jeanne Marie Mullinax Hadden, 62, of 145 Eastview Drive, widow of Buddy Ray Hadden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, Mrs. Hadden was a daughter of the late Lokie and Louise Lanier Mullinax. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sons, Brian Mullinax of Gaffney and Scotty Ray Hadden of Mt. Holly, N.C.; a daughter, Renee Hadden of Belmont, N.C.; three sisters, Fannie Garland, Frances Scruggs and Loraine Fletcher, all of Gaffney; two brothers, Garland Mullinax and Leonard Mullinax, both of Gaffney; five grandsons, two granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hadden was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Thompson and Carolyn Butler, and three brothers, Jack Mullinax, Dean Mullinax and Bobby Gene Mullinax.

The family is at the home, 145 Eastview Drive, and will receive friends Monday, Sept. 15, from 6-8 p.m. at Shuford- Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Joe Brackins. Committal services will follow in Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lewis Batchelor officiating.

Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
