Gaffney clobbers Jackets
Indian offense comes alive in 49-13 victory
      Call it demolition derby, Gaffney Indian style. The Indian offense finally came to life, pounding Union for 440 yards and six touchdowns - all on the ground - in a 49-13 rout at Union County Stadium Friday. The Indians' other touchdown came on a 17-yard interception return by linebacker John Michaels.

      Gaffney quarterback Bo Davidson smiled a lot after Friday's win over Union. It's easy to see why. Davidson was a perfect 8 for 8 through the air for 79 yards. He rushed for 83 more, including a 57- yard touchdown, in the Indians' most impressive offensive showing of the young season.

Eagles crush Wildcats
      Cedric Proctor showcased his big play ability in a first half scoring barrage Friday as Chesnee cruised to a 55-0 victory over Blacksburg. Proctor rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns. The senior quarterback got things started with a 75-yard run on the Eagles' second offensive series.
