'Fall Classic Car Show' returns Saturday

The city's fire truck will be on display. The city's fire truck will be on display. The annual Fall Classic Car Show to benefit the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum returns this Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the historic mustering grounds of the S.C. Militia at the museum at 301 College Drive.

The event has continued to grow each year and this year promises to be one of the best as over 100 trophies will be awarded. Trophies will be given for Best in Show, Top 75 Entries, Spectator's Choice, and the ever popular Poor Man's Trophy! Trophies will be presented at 2 p.m., following a concert by Classic Rock band Southern Thunder, sponsored by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to the Car Show, there will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and other activities. The museum will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Food and drinks will be available from Lisa's Hawg N Dawg BBQ, Your Best Body, and Bag O' Wings.
