Antique and collectible car show Saturday The annual fall classic car show to benefit the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum will be Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the historic mustering grounds of the S.C. Militia at the museum at 301 College Drive. This year's event promises to be one of the best, as over 100 trophies will be awarded. Trophies will be given for Best in Show, Top 75 Entries, Spectator's Choice and the ever-popular Poor Man's Trophy. Trophies will be presented at 2 p.m. Following the trophy presentation, the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a concert by Southern Thunder. In addition to the car show and concert there will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and other activities. The new museum will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Food and drinks will be available from Lisa's Hawg 'n' Dog, Your Best Body and Bag O' Wings. "There is plenty of room for the family to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the day," said Billy Pennington, director of the museum."Why go out of town when there is so much to do right here?"
