Oct. 4 deadline to register

Oct. 4, 2008, is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 4, 2008, General Election. In order to vote, one must be registered at least 30 days prior to any election.

If you are already registered but need to make a change of address, visit the Voter Registration office to make the change so that you can be placed in your proper voting precinct before the Oct. 4 deadline.

The Voter Registration office is located at 1434 N. Limestone St., inside Peachtree Center, First Floor - Room 1008. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Also, the office will be open Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. until noon. The telephone number is 864-487-2563.
