Homer Davis
Truck driver
Born in Damascus, Va., he was the husband of Joann Susan Pulvermacher Davis and son of the late Sterlin Davis and Gay Wright Davis. He was a truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of The Mariba Church of God in Kentucky. In addition to his wife, surviving is two sons, Cliff Homer Davis and wife, Teresa, of Kentucky and David Andrew Hilpert and wife, Grace, of Ohio; three daughters, Teressa Davis Pinson and husband, Steve, of Ohio, Pamela Rose O'dell and husband, Tom, of Laurens, and Paula Denise Childers and husband, Scott, of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren, Joseph Davis, Tricia Stanislawski and husband, Ray, Christie Faught and husband, Ed, Sara Hilpert, Nina Hilpert, Allen Michael Ragstole, Benjamin Painter, Jessica Painter, Clay Childers and Cassidy Childers; two greatgrandchildren, Malorie Davis and Elijah Davis; three brothers, Paul Davis and wife, Joyce, of Florida, Bobby Davis and wife, Bernice, of Ohio and Eugene Davis and wife, Shirley, of Ohio; and two sisters, Shirley Davis and Thelma Gobbels and husband, George, all of Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 20, from 1-2 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim McClure and the Rev. David Woodward officiating.
