BLOCKING ROCK, N.C. - Tweetsie Railroad's Ghost Train® Halloween Festival is celebrating its 19th season and you don't want to miss the howling excitement.

The spooktacular event begins Friday, Oct. 3, and runs every Friday and Saturday night through Nov. 3 as the ghouls come out to play and thrills and chills await you at every corner.

The event's non-stop fun and excitement has made it one of the most popular Halloween celebrations in the High Country, and the event will wrap up Tweetsie's 51st season.

Tweetsie Railroad is calling all trick-or-treaters to take a ride on the Ghost Train with engineer Casey Bones and his crew to experience great Halloween fun. Guests can tour the all-new and exciting Haunted House and discover 13 spooky rooms guaranteed to both startle and test the imagination. Although some attractions are recommended for adults and older children, there are shows and attractions for the youngest of guests too. Kids can also enjoy traditional trick-or-treating throughout the park. It's safe, scary fun for all ages.

At the Haunted Palace Saloon guests can experience The Tweetsie Palace Spooktacular black light show. Take a ride to Mournful Mountain on the chair lift or by bus to go through the 3-D Maze and The Tunnel of Terror. Finally, visitors can stop by the Creepy Carnival and walk through the infamous Black Hole or take a spin on the rides.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m. Due to the popularity of this annual event, only a limited number of tickets are available for each evening. Advance tickets are required and many nights become sold out. Admission is $26 for adults and children, while kids ages 2 and under are admitted free. Tickets are on sale at tweetsie.com, and you can print your tickets from home.

Tweetsie Railroad is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays now through Nov. 2. The park will be open until 11:30 p.m. during the Ghost Train Halloween Festival. For more information, call 1-877- TWEETSIE or visit www.tweetsie. com.
