Lillian C. Griffin
Lillian Ellen Clary Griffin, 93, of Battleground Road, Cowpens, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at White Oak Estates in Spartanburg.
Born to the late Fred and Ella Cash Clary of Cherokee County, she was the widow of Warren V. Griffin. Mrs. Griffin was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was a devoted homemaker most of her life.
Surviving are a son, Ronnie Griffin and wife, Janice, of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Heather Kanipe of Boiling Springs and Brad Griffin of Rock Hill; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jack Clary of Gaffney.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Doug Gilliland officiating.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, 419 E. Main St., Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
The family is at the home of Ronnie Griffin, 341 Rock Bridge Rd., Spartanburg.
The family has entrusted Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens with their care.
