Gaffney smacks Jackets
      Gaffney quarterback Joe Craig kept calling his own number and the T.L. Hanna defense couldn't do anything about it. Craig entered the game in the second quarter and energized a lethargic offense, rushing for 153 yards and scoring three times to help the Indians to an easy 44-13 victory over the self-destructive Yellow Jackets on Friday.

      LC runners take first place The Limestone College women's cross country team finished first in the Limestone Invitational on Saturday morning. St. Andrews Presbyterian College won the men's race while the Saints finished seventh. The event was held on the Limestone College campus.

      Hanna's Dajon Martin was where no quarterback wants to be - facing the stingy Gaffney defense. The Gaffney defense harassed Martin, who completed 12 of his 26 throws for only 62 yards. Most of his throws were fade routes to Hanna's tall wide receivers Martavius Bryant and Quinton Payton.

The senior tailback, the power part of Clemson's "Thunder and Lightning" backfield, rushed for three touchdowns to lead the 23rdranked Tigers (3-1) past South Carolina State 54-0 on Saturday.

      COLUMBIA - South Carolina's struggling offense can't get going no matter who the opponent is. The Gamecocks (2-2) managed just two touchdowns in Saturday's 23-13 win over Football Championship Subdivision Wofford, scoring just as many points as 0-3 FCS team Charleston Southern managed earlier this season against the Terriers (2-1).
