Ledger photo by JOE HUGHES II TOUR de PEACH — Approximately 50 local bicyclists rode for miles on Saturday to raise money for cancer research. The Robert Allen Group held its second annual Tour de Peach September 6, with funds from the event going to Relay for Life. Bicyclists had the choice of riding a 30- or 60-mile route in this year's edition of the Tour. "The Robert Allen Group has been a faithful supporter of the Cherokee County Relay for Life for six years. We have continually increased the total we've been able to raise annually," said Lisa Bell director of Human Resources. "In 2008, our facility, with less than 200 employees, turned in $18,000." For the second year, the Tour de Peach raised over $3,000.00.
