Evelyn Jackson

Evelyn Louise Forrest Jackson, 66, of 448 Old Pro's Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2008, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Denver, Colo., she was the widow Claude Hamilton Jackson and daughter of the late Porter Forrest and Elsie Rock Forrest. Mrs. Jackson was retired from Nestlé and was a member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church. She loved working with crafts and traveling.

She is survived by two sons, Derek H. Jackson and wife, Crystal, and Brian C. Jackson and wife, Kathie, all of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Jonah Jackson, Crystal Scruggs and Dustin Suttles; and one great-grandchild, Joseph Scruggs.

The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mike Frazier officiating.
