      The Byrnes Rebels have lived up to the preseason hype. The USA Today's top-rated team has outscored its opposition 182-41 and has averaged 46 points a game. But Gaffney-Byrnes games are rarely one-sided, especially at the Reservation. In fact, the Indians (3- 1) hold an 11-8 advantage in the overall series.

Blacksburg coach has high praise for Wolverines

      Woodruff's first four games this season have been nailbiters. If history is any inidcation, the Wolverines' game today with Blacksburg likely won't be that close. The Wolverines (2-2) fell to Greer in the last 1.6 seconds of the game before they beat Clinton by causing a fumble with 20 seconds left in the game.
