Jerry Lee Horne, 46, of 246 Patrick Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Robin Thompson Horne and son of Calvin Lee Horne and Maggie Skipper Horne of Gaffney. He was employed in the textile industry and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Brandon Lee Horne and Robert Upchurch, both of Gaffney; five daughters, Niki Hall and husband, Jason, Misty Horne, Tiffany Horne, Hayley Horne and Kayla Thompson, all of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Jace Hall, Jared Hall and Tristan Parsons, and one soon expected granddaughter; a brother, Michael Horne of Gaffney; and two sisters, Lisa Wallace and Carol Motts of Gaffney.

Mr. Horne was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Higgins.

Services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs Tim Bowers and Dean Painter officiating. Interment will be in the Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 25, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
