Rebels rule Indians, 42-14

      About the only thing Byrnes star running back Marcus Lattimore hasn't accomplished in his stellar career was to post a victory at The Reservation. Check that off his list. Lattimore, who lost twice at The Reservation in 2006 as a freshman, rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns to help the No. 1-ranked Byrnes Rebels to a convincing 42-14 victory on Friday.

Wolverines humble Blacksburg, 49-6

      Woodruff rode the arm of quarterback Jake Lambert and a dominant defense to a 49-6 victory over Blacksburg Friday. Lambert threw for 295 yards and five touchdown passes, including four in the first quarter. Blacksburg gained just five yards on offense in the contest.

Lady Indians place third in tourney

      The Gaffney High volleyball team continues to show promise with a third-place showing Saturday at the Northwestern High School tournament. Top-seeded Mauldin won the 10-team event. Ridge View was second. The Lady Indians beat Clover, York, North Carolina's High Point High School as well as High Point High School in South Carolina en route to their third-place finish.
