CONVERSE - Robert Eugene Brewster, 68, of 116 Tram St., died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at his home.

A native of Vansant, Va., he was the husband of Stephanie Jean Mills Brewster of the home and son of the late Berl and Martha Collins Brewster. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a heating and air technician by trade.

In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by sons, Robert Brewster Jr. of California, Roger Brewster of Lewisburg, W.Va., James Brewster of Chesnee; a stepson, Billy Buff Jr. of the home; a daughter, Terry Brewster of Tampa, Fla.; four sisters, Sheila McLeod of Inverness, Fla., Mary Lipman, Brenda Sherron and Georgia Oaks, all of Indiana; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday, Sept. 29, at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of The Living God in Converse with Apostle Shane Harris officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Daniel Morgan Cemetery in Cowpens.

Pallbearers will be Billy Buff Sr., Billy Buff Jr., Jason Littlejohn, Curtis Jones, Kenneth Mullinax and George Hinchliffe.

The family will receive friends at the home.
