Card-making class benefits Senior Centers

In celebration of World Card Making Day, the Senior Centers of Cherokee County, in conjunction with Susan Moore, Stampin' Up demonstrator, is hosting a "Stamp a Stack for Seniors" fundraiser to kick off the holiday cardmaking season.

World Card Making Day is a holiday to celebrate the creativity and personal connection of handmade cards. Each year, card-making enthusiasts of all skill levels and styles are encouraged to come together in October to share their creative passion for the art of card making while helping a worthwhile causes in the community.

The event is planned Friday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Gaffney Senior Center, 499 W. Rutledge Ave. Participants will be making eight cards for $15 (two get well, two sympathy,

two birthday and two all occasion). Light refreshments sponsored by the Friday Night Craft Club will be available. Also, participants will have a chance to win door prizes.

All proceeds will go to services provided by the Senior Center.
