Hear some fun, spooky tales of Union County's past at Rose Hill Park Oct. 24-25

UNION - Rose Hill Plantation State Historic Site will host a hauntingly fun journey into the spooky past as "Tales of Union County" presents an eerie experience for visitors to enjoy local ghostly tales and spine-chilling legends, presented by master storytellers.

Set for Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 25, from 6-9:30 p.m., there will be fun for the whole family, with marshmallow roasts by the campfire, apple bobbing and other fall festival activities. Park guides will be available to tour the grounds by lantern light (for those visitors who are not afraid of the dark)... If you're lucky, you might even see a ghost...

Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and ghostly punch can be enjoyed by all as guest storytellers and local historians relate the folklore, stories and legends of Union County and the Upstate from the American Revolution to the present. Visitors who wish to make their own S'mores should bring their own chocolate, as graham crackers and marshmallows will be provided.

Cost is $5 per person. Call the Park Office, 864.427.5966, to preregister no later than Oct. 23. Register early as space is limited to 50 visitors per evening.
