Meetings

The Tuesday Woman's Club will meet at 4 p.m. on October 14 at the home of Mrs. Richard Baines. Co-hostesses are Mrs. Wayne Whiteside and Mrs. Chuck Lowry. Members are reminded to bring a cookbook to exchange.

The Spartanburg Christian Women's Club will have its annual auction and brunch on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 8-11 a.m. at Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park. The breakfast buffet is $11.50 inclusive. Singing will be provided by Beth Silmer and Susan DeVos of McCormick will be the speaker. Reservations are requested by Oct. 13. Red Cross classes

The American Red Cross Cherokee County Service Center will be conducting the following certification courses: Adult CPR and Standard First Aid, Monday, Oct. 6, 6-10 p.m.; Infant and Child CPR, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 6-10 p.m.; Babysitter's Training, Monday, Oct. 13, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. One hundred percent of the course fees go to support disaster services in Cherokee County. All classes will be at the ARC Service Center, 405 N. Logan St. Pre-registration and prepayment is required. To register, call 864-489-6066 or stop by the ARC office during regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Reunion

The 2008 FII Reunion will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, in the former Rec Club at the Shelby plant. Registration begins at 2 p.m. Gene LeGrand and Carl Spangler will give a brief welcome at 3 p.m. A meal, catered by Linwood Caterers, will be served from 3:15-4:15 p.m.; cost is $10 per person or $20 per couple.
