Israels celebrate 53rd anniversary

Carroll and Edith Israel of Gaffney celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 8, 2008.

Mr. and Mrs. Israel were married in 1955. They have a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Sam Booker, and one granddaughter, Ashley.

Mrs. Israel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Wood and Mr. Israel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Israel.
