Jonah Belue, Jr.

COWPENS—Jonah Major Belue, Jr., 81, formerly of 2003 Battleground Road, Cowpens, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2008 at Brookview Heathcare Center.

Born in Spartanburg, he was the husband of Marie Cash Belue and the late Alice Geraldine Sellars Belue, and the son of the late Jonah Major Belue, Sr. and Hester Hughes Belue.

He was retired from Spartan Steel, a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and a U. S. Army veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael Belue and wife, Sandra of Cowpens, Jerry Matthew Belue and wife, Lisa of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Jason Belue and wife, Sharon of Cowpens; one daughter, Teresa (Teri) Lee and husband, Doug of Cowpens; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Kathleen Henderson of Cowpens.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Belue and a sister, Janet Belue.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Kirby and Shane Belue officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family will be at the residence of Michael and Sandra Belue, 1914 Battleground Road, Cowpens, SC 29330.
