Pat Wilkerson

HICKORY GROVE— Orline Kinard "Pat" Wilkerson, 86, of 3216 Howells Ferry Road, died Thursday, October 14, 2008, at Peachtree Center in Gaffney.

Pat was the daughter of the late John F. Kinard and Julia Gaffney Kinard.

She was the great great grandaughter of Captain Michael Gaffney, founder of Gaffney.

She was the widow of W.T. "Tom" Wilkerson.

Pat graduated from Blacksburg High School and Limestone College.

She retired at 80 from Farmers Service Center of York after 57 years of service.

She was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, and was a member of the York Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, William A. Wilkerson Sr. and wife Linda Comer Wilkerson of Hickory Grove, daughter Sissi Wilkerson Shannon and husband Keith Shannon of Irmo, four grandsons, eight great grandchildren, sister Francelia K. Stephens of Chicago, Ill., and sister-inlaw Bonnie Wilkerson Dowdle of Sharon.

The funeral will be Thursday, October 16, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Mount Verson United Methodist Church.

Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church fellowship hall on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, from 6-8 p.m.
