Nation Ford top Lady Indians, 3-0

STAFF REPORTS

The Gaffney High volleyball team dropped to 3-4 in the region with a 3-0 loss at Nation Ford on Tuesday.

Gaffney coach Vickie Parks described her team's effort as disappointing.

"We are struggling," she said. "We just aren't finishing strong. Somewhere in the middle (of the match) it just doesn't pull together."

The Lady Indians opened the match with a strong per- formance before losing game one, 23-25.

After that, it was all Nation Ford, which won the next two games, 25-20, 25-15.

Nation Ford had led the region before losing to Northwestern and Fort Mill last week.

Parks said the Lady Indians, who travel to Fort Mill Thursday, still have a shot at the playoffs.

In jayvee action, Nation Ford topped Gaffney, 27-25, 25-20.
