Shrine Bowl coaches to meet soon to select team Shrine Bowl officials announced today that North and South Carolina Shrine Bowl Coaches will gather in Spartanburg on Saturday and Sunday October 24 and 25 to select 88 players. North Carolina Head Coach Gary Fowler of Clayton High School in Clayton, North Carolina and South Carolina Head Coach Ted Luckadoo of Westside High School in Anderson and their respective coaching staffs will each select 44 players. This final selection process culminates nearly a year of extraordinary work that these coaching staffs' dedicate to the selection process in addition to their regular jobs. Once the final list is submitted to Shrine Bowl Officials, it will be sent to the respective high school associations for eligibility certifications. Upon receiving the authorization from those governing bodies, the Shrine Bowl designees will notify each player's head coach informing him of his player's selection. The coach will in turn inform the player( s). The 72nd Annual Shrine Bowl game will again be played at Gibbs Stadium on the campus of Wofford College in Spartanburg on Saturday, December 20 at 1 p.m. General admission tickets will be available at all Bi-Lo stores in North and South Carolina beginning November 1. You may also buy tickets from the Shrine Bowl Office in advance for $20 reserve section and $10 general admission. Game day, reserve section $25 and $15 general admission.
