LEDGER READERS ON THE ROAD
Denetria Manning, Nannie Manning, Stephanie Manning and Bessie Manning kept up with local news by reading The Ledger while on a cruise to the Bahamas.On your next trip out of town, or tour of duty, take a copy of The Ledger along and send a picture of yourself or your group reading the newspaper to: cody@gaffneyledger.com. A group from Grassy Pond Baptist Church enjoyed The Gaffney Ledger while camping at Devil's Fork State Park. The group of 50 enjoyed the beautiful weather in the Lake Jocassee area. John Hardison and his mother, "Boots" Hardison, read The Ledger in El Paso, Texas. On July 4, Nita Phillips and Ruth (Ru Ru) Kendrick spent the day with Harold Bailey and Marjorie Bailey Byrum, both former residents of Gaffney, with Marjorie's family in Goose Creek. They met at the home of Al Mazurek III, Marjorie's grandson, for their special 4th of July dinner. Harold, "Ru Ru" and Marjorie are brother and sisters. Brother Leroy Bailey and sister, Irene B.
