Friends and family waited with the groom William Terrence Hendrix, best man, Mike Vennard, and officiant, Robert J. Friedman, as the bridal party came over the dunes.

      Mr. and Mrs. Huskey married 65 years Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Huskey Sr. celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9, 2008. Mr. Huskey and the former Margaret Phillips were married in Gaffney before he left for active duty in the Navy during World War II. They have three children, Linda Richardson, Shelba Cook and Lewis Huskey Jr.

      Sheila Kay Cash of Boiling Springs and Michael Chad Bright of Gaffney were married Sept. 6, 2008, at New Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. Sidney Norton officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony. A reception, given by the family, followed in the church fellowship hall.
