Miss Gray and Mr. Hendrix wed June 13 at Isle of Palms
MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM TERRENCE HENDRIX As the waves rippled onto the shore and the sea breeze stirred, the sun was setting Friday, June 13, 2008, on the white sand at the Isle of Palms. Friends and family waited with the groom William Terrence Hendrix, best man, Mike Vennard, and officiant, Robert J. Friedman, as the bridal party came over the dunes.
The ring bearers, Tyler and Brady Gere, nephews of the groom, carried small bottles of sand and shells. The maid of honor, Savannah White, sister of the bride, followed the bridesmaid, Alexis Turner, cousin of the bride. Madison Vennard, flower girl, carried a small basket of sea shells, scattering them along the pathway.
The bride, Jennifer Maria Gray, daughter of Ladonna T. White and the late F. Jim White, was escorted by her mother. After placing the bride's hand in the groom's hand, she took her seat with the parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. William Hendrix, and the grandparents of the bride, Doris and Edward Turner and Joyce and David Farmer.
Following the ceremony, everyone made their way back across the dunes to a beach house for a reception catered by Robin and Eric Olsen. Photographers were Kimberly and Richard Turner, aunt and uncle of the bride.
After cutting the three-tier wedding cake that was decorated with white chocolate seashells, the couple had their first dance as husband and wife. The newlyweds left the reception through bubbles being blown by the guests.
After honeymooning in Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Hendrix are making their home in Cheyenne, Wyo., where the bride is a student at the University of Wyoming pursing a doctorate in psychology and the groom is employed by EchoStar Inc.
A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents the previous evening at the beach house on the Isle of Palms.
A bridal shower was hosted by Cindy Love and Savannah White in Gaffney.
A wedding shower was hosted by the groom's family and friends in South Dakota.
Several showers were given by friends in Wyoming.
