Jason Steven Scott Allen, 19, of 123 Hamlett Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008. Born in Gaffney, he was reared in the home of and is survived by his custodial parents, George Allen and Sadie Beattie Allen. He was the son of Sheila Allen Prather and stepson of Danny Prather of Jonesville. A self-employed carpenter, he was a member of Pacolet Road Baptist Church. Also surviving are three brothers, Jamie Allen of the home, Doug Allen of Ohio and Patrick Shane Thompson of Jonesville; a sister, Brittany Renay Thompson of the home; grandmother, Altie Thompson; three stepbrothers, Grady Lee Thompson, Bobby Thompson and Broadus Mason Thompson, all of Gaffney; and two stepsisters, Ann Thompson of Gaffney and Judy Sue Thompson of Kings Mountain, N.C. The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Powell and Ray Mullinax officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
