The Limestone College men's golf team finished 15th at the Queens Invitational on Tuesday after posting a two-round score of 622 (308-314). The tournament was played at the par- 72, 7,089-yard Pinecrest Golf Club.

Luke McClellan led the Saints with a final score of 151 (74-77) to tie for 25th place. Brad Williams followed McClellan with a score of 152 (75-77) to tie for 33rd. Kyle Scruggs tied for 46th (77-78 155) and Ryan Cisler tied for 83rd (82-82 164). Drew Sloan (Inman, S.C.) tied for 86th (83-82 165).

Lander won the 18-team tournament with a five-over-par score of 581.

Clayton State finished second (589), followed by Barton (596) and Midwestern State (597). Wingate took fifth (599).

Limestone will compete in the Conference Carolinas Fall Preview on October 20-21. The tournament will be played at the Tillery Tradition Country Club in Mt. Gilead, N.C.

Limestone College men's soccer team recorded its sixth shutout of the season with a 2-0 victory against Conference Carolinas rival St. Andrews on Wednesday afternoon.

The Saints improve to 11-2-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the league. The Knights fall to 5-8-1 overall and 2-6 in the conference.

Limestone scored in the 8th minute as the ball deflected forward off one of the SAPC defenders from about 25 yards out from the goal. Michael McEmerson gained control and scored on the breakaway.

The Saints second goal came in the 73rd minute.

Joel Moran dribbled the ball just outside the box and passed to Lee Smyth who scored.

The Lady Saints soccer team shut out St. Andrews 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Saints Field.

Limestone improves to 5-4 in Conference Carolinas play (6-8 overall) as the Knights drop to 1- 5-2 in the conference (4-6-3 overall).

The game's lone goal was scored in the 54th minute when Limestone defender Amanda Lear blasted a shot from 35 yards out for her third goal of the season.

Limestone outshot St. Andrews, 8-4.

Knight goalkeeper Garrison Burton had four saves.

Lady Saint Brittany Clark recorded one save to earn her second complete shutout of the season.
