      The Gaffney High football game Friday against Nation Ford will be played at the new stadium. In a document distributed by the school district, it was incorrectly stated that the game would be played at W.K. Brumbach Stadium.

School district bracing for budget cuts from state
      The Cherokee County School District is bracing for possible budget cuts in the range of as much as $2.3 million from the state. State lawmakers plan to hold a special session to deal with budget issues in the wake of a national economic downturn. The House Ways and Means Committee will meet Friday.

Governor tells BBQ lovers state must cut out pork

Apartment complex under construction

      The Gaffney Police Department is investigating another major theft of a truck and trailer. Police said a white 2008 Ford 550 Crew Cab truck towing a 25-foot trailer was stolen from 1541 Old Georgia Hwy. between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and 8 a.m. Oct. 14.
